The success of social networking sites like Blogger, Xanga and YouTube has given birth to a new era in Internet usage. A study by Nielson/NetRatings shows that the top social networking sites experienced a 47% growth in the past year with a whopping 367% growth for MySpace.
Some people are afraid of the potential negative impact these sites may have on our children whereas social scientists and others see it as a beneficial aspect of today’s society. Also applauding the rise of social networking are online marketers who have struck a proverbial goldmine for selling their wares.
The multiple facets of these sites make it possible for the marketer to not only, make enormous returns on the dollars invested, but to actually meet more individuals and companies that they can form a business relationship with. This flexibility is an incredible advantage for like-minded people.

Apparently there are now over 10,000 applications available for you to play with on your facebook profile!
I think my profile’s clunky and crowded enough already…
I just added another one yesterday though, Sudoku:

I’m a bit of a fan of a quick game of sudoku when I’m in “the smallest room in the house”
I also found an app that will show you the most popular facebook apps, so you can track your favorites and how they rank:

They even have a list of the top100 facebook apps and how many users each has.
cool

This is one of those “blokes” only apps I guess, and could be considered a bit “bad taste”, but what the heck, they’re pretty girls!
this ap has over 62 thousand people using it, so I’m not the only “male Chauvansit Pig” on facebook.
The name pretty much says what it does, you get a new Hi-Res pic of a “babe” every day, you can even “check out their profile”! lol!
There is a privacy setting on this, so you don’t need all your friends knowing you’re a bit of a “purve”…
