Can ‘My Story Marketing’ be Effective?

by Jan Shimano

Some of you might have heard a lot of buzz recently about the term ‘My Story Marketing’. In this article, I will be covering what it is and what it can possibly do for your business. We all have our own personal story and it could be a really interesting one, but if no one learns about it, then it is not going to have any impact on our business.

So how do we get our unique story out there for all to see? The main avenue for doing this is through the social network marketing scene. Some of the more popular ones are Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, MySpace and Squidoo. Each of these has different features, but they all put their emphasis on communication between people.

All of these sites have a section where you can enter information about yourself. A lot of people fail to utilize this properly. They just enter one or two sentences about where they live or what they do for a living. They tell the reader very little about themselves. This is their chance to tell their story and connect with others. This is their opportunity to draw people in.

there is little restrictions on the communications in Twitter. Just bear in mind that you need people to follow you in order to get your messages seen by other people.

You can send them a description of your product followed by a link or you can start by making a friend and establish a relationship form there. You can also post advertisements or call outs for business partners, the message will be visible to everybody “following” you.
